On March 27, a delegation led by Nikita Anisimov, president, National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), visited China National Academy of Educational Sciences (CNAES) to discuss cooperation. Li Yongzhi, president, CNAES, attended the meeting.
Anisimov introduced that HSE is a new-type comprehensive university and one of the five universities directly under the federal government in Russia. It plays a significant role in education, scientific research, policy consulting, and international cooperation in Russia, with multiple disciplines ranking first in the country and a high degree of internationalization. Anisimov expressed his appreciation for the achievements of CNAES as a national-level educational think tank in policy consulting and promoting educational innovation. He noted the strong similarities between the two institutions in their functional positioning and expressed his hope to deepen the bilateral strategic partnership and further enhance practical cooperation.
Li Yongzhi introduced the basic situation of CNAES to Anisimov and his delegation, highlighting its representative achievements in scientific research, policy consulting, and international exchange. He emphasized that within the framework of cultural and educational cooperation between China and Russia, continuously deepening and expanding practical collaboration with Russian educational and research institutions is of great significance. He hoped that both sides would work together to implement the previously signed cooperation agreement and further strengthen research exchange and cooperation on newly emerging topics of mutual interest.
Both sides agreed that they should continue to deepen cooperation and share expertise in the future, providing support for the development of education in their respective countries and contributing to regional and global educational progress.
Vice President Li Xiaoqiang presided over the meeting. HSE Vice Rectors Victoria Panova and Dmitry Kovalenko, relevant institutes and departments leaders, as well as staff members from CNAES attended the meeting.
